Initially, some residual dye is left behind (I don't have a washer in my apartment, I just washed them by hand) so the darker ones might lose some dye if washed in hot water (I washed them until the water ran clear in hot water, but just to be safe...). Anyway, once they're put through a regular wash cycle, they shouldn't ever bleed because the dye bonds to the molecules that make up the fibers.
Long-ass explanation, haha, but basically: wash in cold water with like colors and they'll be fine ;)
